01.Jun.2010 Beverly Hills’ Public Art Collection

You are probably already familiar with Yayoi Kusama’s colorful, polka-dotted Hymn of Life: Tulips and Roxy Paine’s enigmatic sculpture Erratic from your daily commutes, but Beverly Hills is home to an incredible and extensive array of public art. ForYourArt invites you to celebrate the entire collection at this year’s Public Art Party – June 5, 2010. While you’re enjoying the festivities, be sure not to miss glimpses of Baile Oakes’ Spiral of Life, or Barry Flanagan’s playful The Drummer. To get you started on your self-guided tour of public art in Beverly Hills, ForYourArt presents a virtual map of some of the great works on display in Beverly Hills’ city parks. For a full list, pick a map in Beverly Hills’ Public Library.
